President - Brandon Pach
Brandon Pach is a junior pursuing a Bachelors of Science in
Nursing degree at Case Western Reserve University. He is currently serving as
the 2011-2012 ONSA President. This is his second year on the ONSA Board of
Directors, serving as the Breakthrough to Nursing Director last year. He is
also involved on campus in the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity currently serving
on their Standard and Ethics Board. After college he plans on pursing a degree
and career in flight nursing. Brandon learned a lot from serving on the board
last year and plans on using that experience to have another successful year.
He brings many ideas to the Board and is open to helping any of the Directors
and all ONSA members by any means. In the upcoming year, he plans to encourage involvement
of current active ONSA members while expanding membership in efforts to make
ONSA one of the best Nursing Associations in the nation. Brandon is very
excited for the upcoming year and considers it an honor to serve as your

Treasurer - Hailey Jones
Hailey Jones is proud to be serving as your 2011-2012 Treasurer and her first term on the ONSA Board of Directors! Hailey is in her third year at Otterbein University working towards her Bachelors of Science in Nursing and a minor in business administration. She is serving her second year as Treasurer for Otterbein’s Student Nurses Association. She has been elected this year the Treasurer of Otterbein’s chapter of the national honorary societies Alpha Lambda Delta/Phi Eta Sigma. Hailey is also serving the Otterbein University campus on the Administrative Council; the Nursing Representative for the University Senate; and volunteers for Club Whittier, an after school program working with local 4th & 5th graders. Hailey’s post graduation goal is to attend grad with the focus on becoming a nurse anesthetist. She loves to travel, meet new people, and help others! She is anxious to meet you, hear your suggestions and comments that will help improve this organization for your benefit!
Secretary - Megan M. Raffel
Megan is currently a Senior at the University of Toledo and is President of the University of
Toledo’s Fall 2011 semester. This is her first year on the State Board of Directors and she will be
serving
as secretary.
Megan is also involved in Alpha Phi Omega, a volunteer fraternity and loves
volunteering
and helping the community in any way possible. She is very excited to get more students
involved in
OSNA and spread the word about the good things student nurses are doing!

Convention Planning Director - Jill Malandro
Jill
is a nursing student from Youngstown State University. She will be
graduating with her BSN in May, 2012. She is the President of The
Student Nurses Association at YSU and also the President of the BSN
graduating class of 2012. She is a mother of 2 children and works part
time at Advanced Urology in Warren, Ohio.
She is very excited to hold the position as Convention Planner for The Ohio Board of Student Nurses. She has secured the site for the convention at The Ohio State University and plans to make this years convention a huge success.

Communications Director - Eric L. Shoup
Eric is a Junior in the Bachelors of Science in Nursing at The University of Akron.
This is his second term on the Board of Directors for ONSA. He is currently
serving as the Class President for the class of 2013 and Representative to the Dean for his local SNA chapter. Eric manages and maintains a small business, works as an intern at a food science laboratory, and works as an extern at a local hospital. Eric is very involved in languages. He recently spent 3 months at a Language Academy in Costa Rica to improve upon his Spanish. He has been involved with philanthropic efforts in Bolivia, Costa Rica, Mexico, and of course the US. In the
future he would like to get experience in the ER or ICU and ultimately become a
medical missionary. He is very excited to serve ONSA and maintain the flow of communication.

Membership Director - Angela Kelbley
Angela is currently a junior at the University of Toledo and
is Vice President for the fall of 2013 for her chapter Student Nurses
Association there. This is her first year on the State Board of Directors and
she will be serving as Membership Director to increase the number of members in
the state of Ohio. Her future plans include becoming a critical care nurse. She
is very excited about meeting different students around Ohio and getting more students involved at the state level.

Council of School Leaders Director - Brendon Bower
Brendon is serving as the Council of School Leaders
Director. He is a sophomore at Case Western Reserve University – Frances Payne
Bolton School of Nursing. After graduation he plans to go into Nursing Informatics or
Anesthesia. Brendon is a member of Delta Tau Delta fraternity; a Residential
Assistant; a member of the National
Residence Hall Honorary; serves as VP of Administration for an Alumni Board; works
in the Learning Resource Center in his nursing school; and is an active
volunteer within the Cleveland metropolitan area. This is Brendon's first year
on the Board and considers himself extremely fortunate to have been given this opportunity.
He is excited about the upcoming year looks to help increase membership within
NSNA and represent the State of Ohio to the best of his ability.
Community Health Director - Sarah Rak
Sarah Rak was elected as the 2011-2012 Community Health Director for the
Ohio Nursing Students’ Association. As the Community Health Director,
Sarah’s job involves implementing a variety of community health projects
throughout schools in the state of Ohio. Sarah is enthusiastic and
passionate about having students engage in activities outside of the
classroom and strives to include all nursing students in her statewide
community health projects that she has planned for the year. Sarah
believes that students should make the most of their nursing education,
simply by becoming more involved!
Sarah is currently a junior in the nursing program at Notre Dame College in South Euclid, Ohio. She serves as the Communications Coordinator for her local Student Nurses’ Association chapter. Sarah enjoys working with her fellow SNA board members to make a difference within her school and community. Once Sarah graduates in May of 2013, she plans on furthering her education to become a Pediatric Oncology Nurse Practitioner. Sarah looks forward to a successful year with all of the other ONSA board members, and eagerly anticipates the significant changes that they have the power to make as nursing students throughout the year! Break Through to Nursing (BTN) Director - Mariah Dallas
Mariah Dallas is currently serving as the Break Though to Nursing chair
for the 2011-2012 academic year. She is a junior at the University of
Toledo and is very excited to graduate in spring of 2013. Mariah is
involved with her local SNA, and feels privileged to have the
opportunity on the state board. She is very excited to work with fellow
nursing students and have this opportunity to learn and grow. After
graduation she plans to work in an ER or ICU and after gaining
experience, pursue her dream of becoming a flight nurse.
Legislation Director - Emma Cleary
Emma is proud to be serving her first term as Legislative Director for the Ohio Nursing Students’ Association! Emma is currently in her third year, and is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree at Case Western Reserve University. Outside of serving the ONSA, Emma is a research assistant at Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing. She is also a nurses aid at two Cleveland hospitals, she serves as Philanthropy Chair and Personal Development Chair to her sorority, Alpha Chi Omega, and stays actively involved in community service through her service organization, Alpha Phi Omega. After graduation and before attending grad school, Emma plans to spend a year teaching nursing in third world countries. Emma looks forward to a fantastic year working with the Board of Directors!
Nominations and Elections Chair - Sydney Lakos
Sydney Lakos is serving as the Nominations and Elections Director for the 2011-2012 year. She is a senior at The University of Toledo and will graduate in May 2012. After graduation, she plans to pursue an RN postion on a Labor and Delivery floor. Sydney serves as the Vice President of her local chapter. She is also involved with Habitat for Humanity and enjoys the volunteer work that the organization accomplishes. This is her first year serving on the Board of Directors and she is very excited to have the opportunity to represent Ohio's student nurses! Sydney is looking forward to working with a great board and having a fantastic year!
Student Consultant - Kayla Munk
Kayla Munk is serving as the
Student Consultant for the Ohio Nursing Students Association. She is the
Immediate Past President of the organization. This will be her fourth year
serving on the ONSA Board of Directors. She conciders herself blessed to have had so many
wonderful opportunities and experiences through being a part of this
organization. Kayla is a Senior year at Mount Carmel College of
Nursing in Columbus, Ohio. She will graduate this coming May and plan to further her education in the Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Program at The University of
Toledo School of Nursing this coming fall. Her future aspirations are to become
a Primary Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, with hopes of one day opening a
pediatric practice. At Mount Carmel College of Nursing She serves as President of her Student Nurses Association, serves as Secretary of Public Relations for
Student Government, and serves as the Lead Student Ambassador. She has great
enthusiasm for the upcoming year, as she has enjoyed seeing the growth and
expansions of the organization over the past few years. She looks forward to
offering my continued guidance and experience to the board of directors for yet
