Hello Everyone! My name is Kayla Munk and I am currently serving my second year on the Ohio Nursing Students’ Association Board of Directors as the Membership Director. I am a sophomore at Mount Carmel College of Nursing enrolled in their four year Bachelor of Science in Nursing program. At Mount Carmel I am involved in student life, serve as a Student Ambassador, am Vice President of the Student Nurses’ Association of Mount Carmel (SNAM), serve as a sophomore representative for Student Government, and serve as a Resident Assistant. After graduating in May of 2012 I plan on furthering my education to become a pediatric nurse practitioner. My ultimate goal someday is to start my own pediatric practice. As the Membership Director this year I would like to continue to let student nurses know about the great opportunities and experiences that they can gain from being a member of the ONSA. I hope to encourage more students to become members and to also encourage their involvement both at the chapter level and at the national level as well. I look forward to another great year of serving on the 2009-2010 Board of Directors!
